Thank you for everyone’s support and assistance in getting us back on track after breaking our mast.

We owe a HUGE thank you to Herbie Karolius for loaning us his mast and rigging.

Thank you to our friends on Joint-J who are kindly taking the mast down with their boat on Friday – thank you Rob, Marco and Marc!

We had a lovely, as Pierre calls it, family meeting at My Grandfather’s Cat (thank you Andrew) to set our final arrangements for next weeks travel. 

We are impatient to get through the next week, make our way down to Durban and hopefully see some of our DAC family at the event. For those of you watching from far, we will keep our Facebook and Instagram posts updated with quick posts and will try not leave you waiting long on this blog for lengthier show-and-tells! 

We will be heading down on Saturday to get the boat rigged up, measured and registered. Sunday will see us testing out the rig and enjoying the Opening Ceremony. 

Racing starts Monday 4 July!
